Privacy Policy

Finano ("the App") is a personal and household finance tracker developed by Volodymyr Symonchuk ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the App handles, where it is kept, and the choices you have.

The short version

• Your financial data is stored on your device only. We do not run servers that receive, store or process your transactions, accounts or budgets.
• The App has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.
• If you connect Monobank, your personal token is stored in the secure storage of your device and is sent exclusively to Monobank's own API.

Data the App stores on your device

• Accounts, categories, transactions, budgets, recurring rules, family members and settings you create.
• Transactions and card balances imported from your bank, if you connect one.
• Exchange rates downloaded to convert between currencies.

All of this lives in a local database inside the App's private storage on your device. It is protected by your device's security (passcode, biometrics, encryption) and is included in device backups you control (for example iCloud or iTunes backups on iOS).

Bank connections (Monobank)

Connecting Monobank is optional. To do so, you obtain a personal API token from Monobank and enter it in the App.

• The token is stored in the operating system's secure keychain on your device.
• The App sends the token only to api.monobank.ua to request your card list, balances and statements. It is never transmitted to us or to any other party.
• Statements are stored locally like any other transaction. We never receive them.
• You can disconnect at any time in Settings → Banks; this deletes the token from your device. Imported transactions remain until you delete them.

Monobank's handling of your data is governed by Monobank's own terms and privacy policy.

Exchange rates

To convert between currencies the App requests daily rates from open.er-api.com. The only information sent is the three-letter code of your base currency (for example "UAH"). No identifiers or personal data are included. You can turn automatic updates off in Settings → Exchange rates and enter rates manually instead.

Notifications

Budget alerts and daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device. They do not use push-notification servers and no data leaves the device.

Data we collect

None. We do not collect personal data, usage data, crash reports or device identifiers. The App contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Sharing and export

The App never shares your data automatically. When you use Export, a file is created on your device and handed to the system share sheet; where it goes from there is entirely your choice.

Deleting your data

Deleting the App from your device deletes the local database and the stored bank token. You can also delete individual items inside the App at any time.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly process data of children.

Future changes

We plan optional cloud synchronisation for household members. If such a feature is introduced, it will be opt-in, this policy will be updated before it is released, and you will be asked for consent inside the App before any data leaves your device.
